Southport expansion plans announced creating new local jobs.

David Davies Sales and Lettings Agent in 2021 enjoyed their 40-year celebration as one of the Northwest’s highly respected, independent Estate Agents. It is exciting times for this long-established company, who following the announced growth plans, just last year and subsequent 2 new offices and local company acquisition, are proud to announce the opening of a further office in the heart of Southport.

The Mikhail Hotels and Leisure Group (MHALG) are a major player throughout various aspects of hospitality, leisure, and property in the North-West, namely, Manchester, Southport, St Helens, and Liverpool, with a string of bars, hotels, restaurants and most recently one of Europe’s biggest gaming arcades to their name, acquired the David Davies company in October 2020. This led to a quick succession of growth for the company.

David Davies Sales & Lettings Agent was founded by the late David Davies (MNAEA) in 1981.  In 2020 MHALG joined this highly respected brand alongside David’s wife, Paula Davies (MNAEA), who agreed to remain in place as Chairperson of the company following the acquisition. 

Andrew Mikhail, chairman of MHALG, said at the time of the acquisition “I am incredibly excited to have bought such a prestigious business and keeping Paula involved in the business was crucial to me. Paula was David’s rock both within and outside of the business for the last 21 years until his untimely death in 2019.”

“I got to know David and Paula extremely well in the later years as I used their services and was so impressed with the way that they conducted the business it was such an easy decision to make the purchase.”

The new office will be situated in the heart of Southport on Market Street, close to the newly opened Southport Market. David Davies Sales & Lettings Agent have held long-standing connections with the area since founder, the late David Davies, acted as Northwest Regional Manager for the Birmingham Midshires Group in the early 1990’s. 

Close friend of Andrew Mikhail and local resident, Adam Cotham, has worked in sales for 30 years and was introduced to the company by both Andrew Mikhail and Paula Davies, as the perfect choice to be the Managing Director and local property valuer for Southport and the surrounding areas. Adam says of the growth plans ‘Living in Southport myself, along with several other members of the team, we are incredibly excited about the expansion and keen to introduce our services to the area”

The new office will officially open tomorrow on the very poignant date of 1^st March 2022, St David’s Day and will serve the borough of Southport and all its surrounding areas including Ainsdale, Formby, Burscough, Ormskirk and Aughton.
